The Best Motivational Gifts for Her

At the time I’m writing this, Christmas is just around the corner.

If you’ve been with me for awhile now, you know personal development is my jam. I love inspiring people and giving them the tools to become the person they dream of being.

There is so much power in having the knowledge and tools to change your life, which is why I believe Christmas (or birthdays, or just because) is the perfect opportunity to give the special women in your life the tools to transform themselves.

The next time you’re thinking of getting your best friend a gift card to her favorite restaurant for the 100th time, consider getting her something a little more meaningful.  Something that will help her develop and maintain a healthy mindset, which will improve the quality of her life and inspire her to be her best self.

Or, maybe you’re looking for gift ideas for yourself-without further ado, let’s get started.

The Happy Life Devotional

At the beginning of every year, I select a new devotional to work my way through for the new year. This year I chose The Happy Life by Drenda Keesee. It just might be my favorite devotional yet. Drenda is great at helping you tap into your feelings and emotions and how you can change your mindset. I lost count how many times the topic of the week spoke to what I was going through at that time. She also leaves space after each entry for your notes. Some of the topics covered include forgiveness, depression, and happiness.

2020 Planner

Planning is essential to prioritizing, taking action, and getting the results you want in life. This 14-month planner comes with a bookmark to hold your place, sticky notes, and planning stickers.

Some people think physical copy planners are old-school, but there are benefits to them you cannot find with digital ones. There is something to be said for having to manually cross a task off after its completed. An iPhone or computer buzzing at you for every alarm that goes off signifying its time to stop what you’re doing and move on to another task can be irritating.

Plus, physical copy planners are pretty to look at, and easily portable.

Motivational Mug

For the coffee-drinker in your life, you can’t go wrong with a beautiful mug with an inspiring message.

Gratitude Journal

Gratitude changes everything.  Did you know practicing gratitude is a common trait of highly successful people?  Tony Robbins just did a whole series about it on his podcast.

When you focus on what you have vs. what you don’t, you invoke happiness and open yourself up to receive more. This 52-week gratitude journal is the perfect opportunity to spend time in thanksgiving daily for all the good in your life.

100 Days to Brave: Devotions for Unlocking Your Most Courageous Self

This devotional’s goal is to break the bondage fear has over you and inspire you to act courageously.  A great gift for someone who could use some uplifting, is going through a hard time, or is struggling with insecurity and inferiority.

Every day, there’s a short story, followed by an action item to take to help you break down the walls of fear, one baby step at a time.

Girl, Stop Apologizing: A Shame-Free Plan for Embracing Your Goals

I’ve talked about this book often, but that’s because it’s one of the most impactful personal development books of 2019 (in my opinion).  It’s one of those books you want to come back to and read again.

This book is broken down into three parts. The excuses you need to let go of, behaviors to adopt, and skills to acquire. It’s the perfect gift for any goal-getting lady in your life.

Vision Board

You’re probably wondering, “why would I give someone a cork board?”

Because they make for great vision boards, that’s why!

With a cork board, you can create your own vision board by pinning pictures cut out of magazines or printed off the computer. You can also get supplies at a craft store to dress them up.

The point of having a vision board is to showcase your goals, the dreams you’re manifesting, and the direction you want your life to take.  My cork board is on my desk, directly in front of me as I’m writing this article now.

And because the recipient of this gift may need a little more motivation to get started with their vision board, you may want to consider this next item on the list…

Dream It, Pin It, Live It: Make Vision Boards Work for You

In this book, Terri Savelle Foy gives you the step by step instructions to identify your goals, build your vision board, and manifest your dreams.  There’s even a chapter on hosting a vision board party.

Terri’s books are the type of books you want to come back to and re-read because they are chock-full of valuable knowledge that will not only inspire you to achieve your dreams, but give you the tools to do so.

Start Where You Are: A Journal for Self-Exploration

This lovely journal includes motivational quotes and prompts to inspire self-revelation and is a work of art in its own right.

Everything starts in the brain and the way you think.  A journal is a great outlet for self-revelation.

The Mindfulness Journal

This mindfulness journal is a great way to nip anxiety and stress in the bud. Make the most of every day by recording your thoughts in this journal full of writing prompts and daily practices. People who journal are happier and tend to deal with stressful experiences in a healthier manner.

Miracles: A 52-Week Devotional

Know and believe all things are possible with this collection of real-life miracles. This devotional had a real impact on me, especially during times where some dreams felt impossible. Nothing will snap you out of that mindset quicker than to read this collection of weekly short stories, based on real life events.
